I like disclosing the first time i stutter. I can 'feel' when I'm about to stutter, so I say, "Uh, bear with me because I stutter, and this word's gonna be hard to say" or whatever, really casual-like, then go into the stutter (and hey, sometimes I stutter while disclosing!). At some point, you just have to stop viewing a stuttering moment as your own fuck-up, or something you need to be embarrassed about, or something you need to apologize for. It just is what it is. People can take it or leave it. You don't have control over that. Dwelling on it is useless and only harms you.
