i’m not a doctor or expert but most likely not. vyvanse is a lot like adderall. i used to take adderall back in high school and at first i got these same effects. increased fluency, felt more confident etc. but shortly overtime, the true side effects of adhd medication kicked in and it actually made me stutter worse. sometimes to the point where i couldn’t get a word out without stuttering. even to this day, after learning to be mostly fluent, if i took an adderall it most likely significantly decrease my fluency. this is true with most prescription medications. xanax used to work wonders for me, but once you build a tolerance, you’re going to go back to stuttering just as bad or worse when you’re on them. the only thing that has ever worked and kept working for me is marijuana. i still will smoke it on my bad days. but it’s certainly not the cure.
