I got my first job through a family friend. But I got my second, third and forth job on my own. Now making 6 figures I know that a stutter is a set back but will not stop me from climbing the corporate ladder Having a stutter isn't going to make life easier but that doesn't mean you can't do great work. If you're a good worker who does what he or she does and goes above and beyond then managers won't care. I'm in a client facing role but yeah will never stop me from perusing new and challenging projects. I don't mean to gloat. You can do whatever you want; there will always be an excuse of why you can't succeed. I'm shy, I'm not as smart, this is just a resume builder job. Be the best you can be at a job and people will notice. Even if you don't speak fluently, people will take notice at your other skills. being great at your job will out weigh your stutter.
