I underwent hypnosis and saw amazing results

I underwent hypnosis and saw amazing results Here’s my story for some context. I had been in traditional speech therapy pretty much my whole life, and while it’s certainly helpful, it doesn’t get at the root of stuttering. Traditional speech therapy teaches you how to cope and function with a stutter, not see to get rid of it. With this in mind, I see people like Steve Harvey go from having a debilitating stutter to being a host on a famous game show where 99.999% of people don’t even know he stutters. I see Joe Biden overcoming his own stutter and being a career long politician. And for myself, there are moments I forget I stutter, and I speak 100% fluently. So it’s not an issue of IF I can speak fluently, it’s just a matter of when. So I started looking into non conventional means for speech therapy, and the big two are hypnosis and shrooms. I’m hesitant of shrooms, but I had been reading about the power of the subconscious mind a bit before hand, so I looked into hypnosis. I found a guy near me and scheduled an appointment. The hypnosis itself was crazy, but the first appointment brought about the great revelation ever. In the hypnotic state, the guy asked me to go back into my thoughts and recall a time of when I felt depressed, incapable, sad, lonely, whatever because of my stutter. And the furthest I could go back was 6th grade, despite stuttering since about 2nd grade. So what happened in 6th grade? Well I took German, which is HORRIBLE for people who stutter. I also was hanging around people who would frequently make jokes about my stutter, plus I myself was 12 ish so I wasn’t doing so hot hormonally. Me, crying, looking back on times from middle school that clearly still had an effect on me, gave me the biggest epiphany. My stutter is less of a speech issue than it is a self image issue. BOOM. Crazy right? Maybe not. But anyways this blew my mind. Looking back on it, every time I’m in a flow state I forget I stutter. But every time I let social pressures get to me I stutter. I concluded that any time I forget who I am and I’m taken away from the present moment is when I stutter more often. I wrapped up my third appointment and I literally cannot hype of hypnosis more. I have found absolutely amazing results from it and think it’s totally viable treatment options for people who stutter.
