This is what ruined speech class for me. I think vocal fillers are a natural part of speaking (as long as they aren’t excessive) and I told that to my professor. Nevertheless, I had points taken off my speeches for using vocal fillers. I think let a person actually speak in front of an audience, scary as that is, and then tweak their speaking to how someone is SUPPOSED to sound...
