My stutter is mild to moderate but I've dated quite a bit and have been with my bf for about 7 years now. I've always been open with people I date about my stutter and if they are willing to listen, about the struggles that come with managing a stutter. Even with more casual dating and relationships, it was always one of the first things I brought up about myself. I also stutter on my name almost every time so hard not to. My boyfriend is very supportive and kinda helps me out when I need it every is often. He knows not to finish words or sentences for me but occasionally if I'm having a big block will catch a look from me and help me out. Its not a lot of people that I like finishing words for me so that's nice! My theory is that if the person is worth spending time with and being with, they will make your life better, stutter included. If they aren't making your life better, they aren't worth your time.
