Great post. As someone who stutters and also somehow found his way in a speaking-heavy job, I agree that the biggest change just came from making peace with how I'm perceived. People are much less judgmental and much more patient than you might give them credit for, especially in a professional setting. The real block was my own hangups about how I sounded.
