Should I tell people I stutter? Online dating I'm a 24f female. I haven't dated a lot of people, but I've recently started back through an online platform. I have a mild stutter, it's not really bad but it can get worse depending on if I haven't slept or am stressed (which is like always hahaha I hate talking enough as it is) I grew up being home schooled, my stutter was never really talked about, it was just me. My ex husband and ex boyfriend or anyone really I have encountered have never really mentioned it, and some people have even told me it's cute and attractive?! Is that a thing?.. I didn't see my stutter really as a problem until one day when my (now ex) at the times brother called him and he put it on speaker in front of others while his brother was mocking me stammering almost every single word while my ex stands there with a horrified face. Yeah. A dude I /was/ talking to recently said "How can you like a president that can't even form a sentence" when he asked me my views on the election, as if he was oblivious to me having a mild stutter, or if he was talking shit about me having one. Now that I've started talking to people again, should I include that I have a mild stutter before meeting? I feel it will throw people off, but then again I realize I need to be honest. Any advice is welcomed!
