I talk to "customers" as I take emergency calls for the emergency services. We do stick to these "expressions" and I do find it easier to read it off the screen or sheet but I still have never successfully said "monitoring" without stuttering. I regularly stutter on "limited" too but it's a strange one tbh. I do plan to stay here for maybe 2 years before I look elsewhere but I may drop down to part time hours as doing sometimes 5-7 full days in a row and if those days are bad days, it's a real strain on myself.
