Does no one notice our stutter? I've been working in a call centre for maybe 6 months now. It's no secret I stutter, it's not bad and it's inconsistent but it's obvious I stutter. I spoke to a colleague a few weeks back and they looked confused and mentioned they truly had never noticed my stutter. I spoke to another colleague about it and they said they had noticed a couple of times but didn't think anything about it but it clicked when I spoke to them about it. Today, one colleague was talking about what would happen if someone stutters while were typing out their response, would we have to include the stutter affect or not, I think it was just for a joke. Another colleague mentioned that I have a stutter and the other colleagues included in the conversation were genuinely dumbfounded. They had never noticed despite the amount of times I've stuttered speaking to them and near them. Do we just think everyone will notice more than they actually do or are my colleagues just so unobservant?
