It depends. If you’re working as a mathematician, then probably not. If it’s as a salesman or whatever, then maybe. If you let it. Doesn’t matter if you are self taught or have a Ph.D. It depends on the job. The thing is that you are afraid that your stutter will effect your career. And it only will if you let it. Realize that people will get your message even if you stutter, at least in professional settings.
