According to Finn's research ([1](https://espace.curtin.edu.au/bitstream/handle/20.500.11937/89250/Hart%20AK%202022%20Public.pdf?sequence=1&isAllowed=y)) ([2](https://www.researchgate.net/publication/262836680_Recovery_from_stuttering_The_contributions_of_the_qualitative_research_approach)) ([3](https://drive.google.com/file/d/15SrKiiAz-GWB_CUB-x8AQQ6_vnXrHl7S/view?usp=sharing)): a subset of recovered individuals do not experience stutter remnants anymore, while another subset of individuals who recovered, still experiences stutter remnants (for example, they are recovered but may still stutter when extremely tired). My grandpa would fall under the former
