This must just be me, because I never see anyone else bringing this up, but I get quite triggered when people use "a stutter" to refer to a stutterER. Stutterer is equivalent to a "person who stutters" and refers to a person with a certain type of speech impediment. When people describe me, or others, as "a stutter" it feels so dehumanising, like they are saying the speech impediment is literally the only thing about me. But I'm sure I'm being over-sensitive as, like I say, no one else ever seems to mention that they have an issue with this.
