It is difficult but the simplest advice that helped me in Uni and beyond was not to think about it at all.  What happens happens, no one really cares and the worry stays with us.  Imagine people going about their day thinking of themselves every step of the way just like you do day in and day out.  That is the human condition.  The most passing thought of a stutterer or anything challenging tends to be respect for their preserverence and the best way to fit that mold is not to dwell on it at all.  It gets harder the more we stress about it so why bother.   Sometimes, it feels damn near impossible not to think about it.  Almost like it's a craving to willow in our own self pity and anguish.  When you really don't think about it though, something else will take its place.  Self pity is that kind of an addiction. The body is used to it.
