I totally understand. Avoiding embarrassment is constantly on our minds. Maybe instead of thinking about what you want to say, try "feeling" what you want to say. Avoid choosing specific words, but feel out what it is you want to respond with, either a concept or thought. We're caught in this cycle of choosing words that we can say in fractions of a second. Maybe we could benefit from discarding this idea altogether.
