Disclosure, I’m a speech therapist. I don’t work for expresable. I work for a public school. I also live in the US so that’s my perspective. I just did a quick Google search and it looks legit. You can verify that your therapist is licensed by asking for their ASHA number (our national licensure) and/or their NPI number (the number we get when we get our department of health license). The sessions are also more affordable than I anticipated. Online therapy, or teletherapy, has been a thing in the speech world for a while, obviously becoming much more common since covid 19. It also looks like they have some online videos for fluency techniques on their site in the “expresable academy” section. So those might be helpful! While speech therapists are great (I’m bias lol) the most successful patients are ones who practice outside of their therapy appointments. So maybe you can check out a few videos and get started on your own, and see a speech therapist a few times to get more guided, individualized support. In short, doesn’t look like a scam but i had never heard of it before seeing your post.
