It’s weird for me, If I see/speak to a cop when they aren’t behind me with red and blues on I’m comfortable as hell. But whenever those lights go on behind me I get EXTREMELY nervous and my hands start shaking, and I get pulled over and ticketed at least once a month in PA and NJ for the tint on my car. However I had an experience yesterday that definitely eased my mind and may ease yours. 6:15PM in PA, my STUPID ass is doing 95mph in a 40 racing with another car, I have expired inspection stickers and DARK tint (totally illegal in PA), and on top of that, I have a CDL. *(traffic violations, ESPECIALLY speeding are extremely harsh offenses for CDL holders even when driving a car)* This cop could’ve easily taken my license and cost me my career. We flew by a baby blue ford F150 who sped up and wanted to join in the fun. WRONG. It was an unmarked state trooper who lit us up. I immediately pulled over and expected my future to be ruined. In total he could’ve charged me with Felony Speeding, Reckless Driving, Expired Inspection Stickers, and Illegal Tint (a total of 5 points, approx. $1000 in fines, 6 month license suspension, up to 90 days in jail and definite loss of my job/future jobs) However he was EXTREMELY courteous, and let me go with a warning, and a speeding ticket for 5mph over, (no points, and doesn’t go on record). This cop saved my license and career by his own discretion even though I was blatantly endangering motorists around me.
