Might sound crazy now, but you should embrace your stutter. It may possibly be something you’ll live with even w/ therapy. I’ve stuttered since I could remember (im 22 now) & was embarrassed constantly. I wouldn’t speak in front of classes, to peers outside of my immediate circle, or extended family. The sooner you become comfortable with yourself as someone who stutters, the sooner the discomfort goes away. The same way you accept your hair color, skin shade, and eye color...if that makes sense lol. There’s nothing wrong with stuttering. It’s a part of you just like the rest of your body. But before I go on a tangent again......don’t keep it a secret from your family. Practice your exercises with them and share your experiences. Let them understand the intricacies of a stutter. If they understand what you’re going through, you may not feel embarrassed with them. Hope this helps!
