I didn't realize I stuttered until high school when someone told me what it was. It was just how I've always talked, and no one had ever given me any flack about it as a kid. I found that my stutter only really *bothers* me when I try to get rid of it. If I just stutter as much as I need to, I feel alright and no one seems to think less of me. I know some ppl have a stigma against stuttering, but in college I stuttered through every single presentation, and nobody ever said I was unprofessional or bad at speaking. The easiest way for me to deal with my stutter is that: I just stutter. It's *so* much easier to talk in my natural way, and ppl can understand me just fine if they're a little bit patient. Idk if what works for me would work for you, but I think it certainly feels a lot better! It's not your job to speak "perfectly." If anyone expects you to not stutter, they should learn that stuttering is a totally acceptable and *natural* way to talk.
