I offered to do the same in my town. I work as an ALT in Japan(Assistant Language Teacher) well, more like a robot who can speak English, and because my stutter has improved to being mild (but atrocious on occasion) I can do this job. There are kids who are really bad here and some lose hope from a really early age. I will hopefully start volunteering soon.
