Yes! You are not alone. I've been in your shoes and it took me a long while to accept and embrace my stutter. I am now 48 years old but at the age of 40, I gave up what other people thought of my stutter. I've had 20 years of speech therapy and hypnosis to help me maintain 85% to 90% fluency from 0%. Just go out and live your life, don't let your stutter control you. I created a podcast, My Stuttering Life, as a way of helping myself and others going through life as a stutterer. Be FEARLESS, be STRONG, and live your life to the fullest! I have been married for 23 years, have a son (teenager) and I love my career.
