Thanks for the response and the kind words. Honestly, my stutter had very little impact when I was a teacher. I taught band, grades 6-12. I was extremely confident with my subject matter, which helped I guess. I also found that kids/young adults seem to be much more accepting and empathetic towards those with differences. I would be with most of my students from middle school all the way through high school and we got to know each other really well, making a much more comfortable situation for me at the front of the class. I can't say that I really did anything in particular that helped with I was a teacher. I was confident and comfortable, and I guess I'm having trouble recreating that in other situations.
