You've phrased it better than i ever could, because my life got infinitely better once i started actively seeking out situations where i would be uncomfortable due to my stutter. As a bonus note - Yes some people will look at you and think you're worth less because you stutter, but these people would not have treated you kindly even if you didn't stutter. As such they are simply not worth your time :)
