Can stuttering be cured by a neurologist? Hi all, I got into an argument with a friend who asked why I don't see a neurologist to get my stuttering fixed. I responded saying that stuttering can't be "cured" and that speech therapy is often the best option to improve it. He's very insistent that I still see a neurologist to see if they can do anything about it but I think it's a waste of my time. Maybe I'm misinformed now, but is there any neurological treatment for stuttering or is speech therapy still the go-to method? If there isn't, how can I explain this to my friend?
