I did have to develop a "solution" for this as my name is my biggest stuttering trigger and has been most of my life (I'm 41). It doesn't happen always but when it does, it seriously just won't come out and it grinds any conversation to an incredibly awkward halt. My solution? I acknowledge it. I find that no matter how impossible it is to say my name at a given moment, I am still able to say, instead, "My apologies, I have a stutter and for some reason sometimes I stutter a lot with my name. Give me just a moment." Usually they will immediately say something to reassure me, put me at ease, I'll take a deep breath, and finally say my name --the conversation moves on.
