Yea it's a spiraling cycle. You need to one thing in order to get the other. Or at least it seems that way. Can you grow your social interactions without speaking? The only thing that comes to mind is using sign language. And I've been thinking that SLP should start giving stutterers the option to learn sign language as a part of therapy. Especially for those with a more severe stammer. That way, they have an avenue to express themseleves freely. It'd be nice if could integrate the deaf and stuttering community together.
