Most of studies place the prevalence(prevalence excludes those who recover from stuttering) around 0.7%-0.8%(in early adulthood after puberty). And ASHA found out in the U.S 1% of adults stutter, and the West Africa has the highest prevalence and even over 9%.(but in general population)
