How do you guys stick up for yourself?

How do you guys stick up for yourself? Wassup everyone. Just want to know how do you guys stick up for yourself. I'm 16 and have reached that point where I hate staying quiet when people pick on me. It happens alot and I can't say anything can I. If I do say anything then I know exactly what they're gonna say. For example someone I thought was a friend kept saying dirty stuff bout my mum. And I just said don't talk about my mum and he goes "shut the f up it takes you 10 minutes to say a sentence". Like bruh💀😭 So what do you guys do???
