It's wonderful that you have found positivity in your dysfluency. I stuttered from early childhood and l overcame stuttering at the age of 70. It turned out my problem was caused by early childhood trauma and psychotherapy freed my speech. I married well and was grateful I never had to compete in the professional world because I felt so little self-esteem. Though I graduated from university, I felt too embarrassed to work in my field of mental health. Besides this r/stutter group providing mutual support, the professional world has become more inclusive. Stuttering seems less of a negative connotation in the workplace than when I avoided competing in my field years ago. Your positivity is very encouraging to those who are so defeated by their stuttering. You give hope to those who are desperately seeking the normal ability to converse without difficulty. Please keep posting your encouraging messages to demonstrate there is life, and there can be success, even though one stutters. Bravo, Sue
