Lacking Confidence to Accept a New Job I'm currently working at a small business and the environment here is perfect for my speech. I rarely interact with high level management and its also very laid back and family oriented here. People are very accepting and okay if I do stutter at times. I've interviewed several jobs in the past 6 months, but wasn't able to land any of them - possibly due to my speech as I've passed the written exam but failed the oral exam of the interview. Recently, one of my old co-worker asked me to go in for interview at her workplace and presented me a job offer where the salary is higher and the benefits package is great. While this may sound great, it's at a large organization and will definitely be more stressful than my current one as I'd be heavily involved with interacting with a lot of people and departments. I was told that I'll definitely be working very long hours (due to the nature of the business of accounting). As most of you know, there can be good days and bad days with our speech and fluency. I'd also have to leave my apartment, move in with my parents and take a shuttle to this new employer for my commute due to heavy traffic in a metropolitan city. I am seriously having a hard time debating whether this is worth it and know that some may say that I'm purely making excuses. I honestly don't know what to do and know my future is important but I always ask myself, "Is Money Really That Important and Do I really think I can last for X Amount of years at this job".
