I have had heavy blocks too. (Still have them but they are lighter and easy to keep under control) And ordering fast food is still my biggest fear. I mostly soften the first letter. For example instead of "fries" which has f and r (nightmare letters) i say "fhies" (with a really softened f. The con of this is that they might not understand what you said and ask you again. Face clenchings are the most annoying and mentally heavy things that stuttering does to me. I used to talk to a girl last year and my face would always clench while talking to her. But i would just say fuck it and still try to speak my mind with all the blocks and clenches. Also last year i went to a speech therapist for a few months (god bless that lady) and it helped me quite a bit. Just speak your mind and say what you want to say. If they get weirded out by your stutter then they wouldnt make good friends anyway. It will take you some time but you will find someone who is understanding towards your stuttering. One last important point is that if they try to joke about your stuttering, tell them that you dont enjoy them to joke about it. Hang in there mate. Nothing makes the girls wetter than a man who is bravely fighting the obstacles in his life.
