I have the same thing, stammering more on "easy" questions. Yes it is crushing. Think it has to do with the fact, in my case, I don't want people to know I have a stammer, and me introducing myself is often the first time they could "find out". I dread restaurants, I find them terrifying. Again, an easy question, read what you want from the menu. Sometimes the waiter/waitress finishes what you are saying which makes it especially demoralising. Stammering does come in waves and when I am stressed or very happy it is worse. I do presentations quarterly at university. I have found some success simply by announcing i have a stammer. Purely for my own benefit of course. But you should try and put it to the back of your mind if it isn't currently an immediate issue. Your happiness is ultimately what is important!!!
