I’m a 35F! My parents both have seizure disorders and it was thought that that led to my stuttering. I consider my stutter usually mild but I’ve had to conquer a lot of speaking fears. I’m an RN and 60% of my job is phone or in person speaking. I’m also in school right now and have a presentation every semester. It’s hard and a constant struggle but, like someone else said, most everyone struggles with something and what I have could be much much worse. Both my son and daughter have shown signs of having a stutter but it comes and goes. I feel intense guilt but I know that they are healthy and hopefully will see me succeeding and having a great life and know that they are more than their fluency.
