What the hell...? For my English class today, everyone had to read a short poem, and we had to vote on who read it the best. When it came to be my turn, I took a deep breath, exhaled, and started. When I ended, I forgot I had even started talking. Suddenly, everyone started clapping, even my teacher. They voted that I was the best reader of the poem. What the hell? I have a stutter, I’m supposed to fail! At least, that’s what I thought. After class, my teacher pulled me aside and said I should try out for a poetry competition. WHAT. THE. HELL. I’m doing it, because I’m not letting my stutter control me anymore. Things are turning in the right direction for once!
