I can relate to that. I'm 30 now & it definitely gets easier, but there have totally been times where I just wanted to say "fuck it" & quit. As far as "growing out of it", I'd recommend trying not to go down that road of thought. Stuttering is just something that we have to deal with, so it's probably more constructive to focus on what you can personally do to make dealing with it easier. Whatever you do though, don't start making decisions & choices around your stutter. Just face it like you have been, try to stay positive, & live how you want to live. You're obviously a fairly strong person to be doing what you've been doing, so don't lose that.
