I've always suspected that stuttering, in some instances, is the fault of complex frontal lobe seizures initiated by speech. It would explain why strange eye movements typically manifest as a secondary symptom. Speech production and voluntary eye movements are both in the same general location. The fact that this medication helped might lend credence to that theory.
