Omg so fucking this. Not in english but korean thank you starts with a guh sound and I cant fucking say it. When someone buys me lunch and I wanna say thank you but I cant. Im afraid that they will think Im an asshole who isnt thankful. So I instead just say something like "wow that was REALLY good" after the meal to at least try to sound like a thank you :(
