You're definitely not alone. My stutter was mild from when I was young until about age 28. I'm 31 now and it slowly started getting worse due to adulthood stress I'm guessing. Now it's always on my mind when I talk to anyone I'm not familiar with. I get nervous at grocery store check out lines now and that was never the case before. I block hard and I've developed a nervous tick I guess you could say. I'm hoping it's been from smoking a lot of pot so I'm quitting that for a month to see if I improve. There's no doubt my social anxiety has taken over and I'm hoping my medication will calm me the F down.
