Techniques you are using, if any About a month ago, me and my project group at college had to demonstrate our project and discuss the documentation. I was writing a journal-like entry a few days before the presentation and while writing I realised that I so give into my stutter that I don't really prepare. I just give in because I know it's going to go bad. And that seemed like the real problem to me. I never really prepare expecting a failed attempt. Since then I decided to keep a small diary where I wrote what happened that day re the stutter. At the end of every post I assigned a grade like R Christgau. Almost all entries except the one on the presentation day is D-. On the presentation day's entry, I gave a C. It was awful, but better than I expected. I haven't progressed a lot, but it's just been about a month and I am more conscious of situations. I remind myself to breathe properly, to open the mouth wider, and take breaks. My goal is to get 10% better by the 2900th day lol. I'd like to know about techniques you guys use, if any.
