Very thoughtful post! It reminds me of the "**3 Ps**"- Punctuate + Personalize = Pervasive. It is when we **punctuate** the stutter with shame, projecting, or other toxic thoughts that the micro (or even macro) depression kicks in. We **personalize it** and replay the stuttering moment in our head.. we imagine what people thought...we then go future to imagine seeing them again or what they might tell somebody. **Pervasive** means a permanence. Steven Spielberg can learn from pws. Do you ever wonder how an adult pws in his 40's or 50's still fears a word from child hood (i.e., name or home town)? That is an example of the **3 Ps.**
