Well... since speech therapy relies on both the speech therapist being of the proper sort, and the relation between therapist and client being conducive to progress, and the client understanding the effort required and performing accordingly... maybe it's just the case that the situation you're in doesn't achieve its goal? 10 months does sound like a long time. Perhaps you need to try someone/something else.
