I did it a couple of years ago and have actually benefited greatly from it. I still use the techniques everyday, in almost every sentence. I was a bit skeptic as well. It is very expensive. It is a bit weird at first and it can feel very intense. But I would not have been without it. The McGuire program focuses on coastal breathing, lowering your voice, talking more slow and with a more breathy voice. I use all of this always. However, I was encouraged to lower my voice to unnatural levels, which I've later parted ways with; it just wasn't me. A big part of the program is about your own mindset, which, surprise surprise, is the real key. Instead of hiding your stutter, they make a lot of effort for you to embrace your stutter instead, thereby taking control of it. This is done through various exercises, breathing techniques, psychological tools etc. Again, I can only encourage the program, although I don't use every tool learned. If you have any more questions, I would gladly answer any one I possibly can!
