Personally, r/InternalFamilySystems therapy has been the biggest change changer for me. We are not broken and if you feel so IFS will be a game changer. Especially for trauma, self worth and being self critical. EMDR is fantastic, it works for trauma super well and the research is showing it more and more. One of the most effective methods you can use. Trauma gets reprocessed and you can unfree yourself from the being stuck. Also somatic therapies, becoming connected to your body is important because your body is also your brain and trauma gets stored within the nervous system of our body and great for anxiety and experiencing emotions healthily. I made more progress in 1 year of the three types above than I did in 10 years of previous therapies like talk therapy or honestly CBT either. However if you’re able to be disciplined CBT can work, just didn’t for me.
