What you said about speech therapy making your stutter worse is the same thing that happened to me. Last time I tried speech therapy I felt really guilty and stupid that it wasn't working for me. It doesn't make me want to try it again. My parents are pretty much making me though. I can try what you mentioned about pinching your fingers together. That sounds like it might help. Right now I kind of duck my head when I'm trying to get a word out and I know it looks weird but it's really hard to stop.
