I have a 31+ year career in I.T / Network and Security Engineering, and I'm a lifelong stutterer. As my career progresses and I've become a Senior Security Architect, I'm required to attend a lot more meetings and present solutions. It's really hard, but I battle through it. I have no choice. I aspire to be a Chief Information Security Officer (C level executive) one day, but I fear my stutter will hold me back. All I can recommend is to do the best you can and be open and honest about your stutter. Employers appreciate honest open communications. Despite my disability, I've been blessed to be in this career and earn well into 6 figures. I have a family who loves and accepts me and at the end of the day, that's what matters most to me. YES, I hate my stutter, but I've accepted it's a part of me. Hang in there and do your best. Keep smiling no matter what.
