Seeking Participants who Stutter \*\*\*\*Edit: As of 03.27.2020 I am conducting screenings and no longer accepting participants. However, if this changes and I am able to accept more people for screening, I will update this thread and create a second call-for-participants as a new post in this subreddit. Thank you all for your enthusiasm! In the future, with some grant funding (fingers crossed), I hope to expand upon this study so that I can accept more participants. \*\*\*\* Hello everyone! I am a doctoral student at UConn looking for participants for my dissertation project. I reached out to the moderator of this subreddit and have not heard back, I hope this is okay to post here. Please see below for my call-for-participants. A study is being completed in order to investigate the usefulness of a virtual reality intervention on chronic stuttering and stuttering related anxiety. We are seeking 3-5 individuals who are 8 years of age or older, stutter, and also experience anxiety related to their stuttering. Study data collection meetings will held remotely through video conferencing and take approximately 20 minutes daily for up to 5 weeks. A remote intake meeting will take approximately one hour. There will be no compensation for this study. In order to participate, you must be have access to a computer/laptop/tablet that is connected to the internet and can support video conference calls. You must also be able to operate basic point-and-click technology (i.e., TV remote controls). To learn more about this research please send me a direct message. This research is being conducted under the advisement of the Educational Psychology Department. University of Connecticut Institutional Review Board Protocol Number H19-063. \*\*Edit: Thank you all for your interest! A few more points: In order to participate you must live in the United States and have access to a computer/tablet/laptop with video-conferencing capabilities (i.e., has a camera and is connected to the internet).
