I know how that feels. Go through it everyday actually. Especially in sign out’s/phone calls. What I did was, I broke the ice with my staff. Especially if it was worse during a specific rotation (I’m looking at you ICU). Believe it will relieve a lot of tension. Breaking the ice is simple, when you’re alone with the staff, just tell like “BTW I have a stutter. Hope it’s not an issue.” Simple as that. Now because I’m a senior resident, I tell my juniors and students when I first work with them “BTW, I have a stutter, so it’s ok if sometimes you don’t understand me. Just let me know and I’ll repeat/clarify myself.” And that helps me a lot. Wish you the best
