How about not indirectly telling yourself that stuttering is bad

How about not indirectly telling yourself that stuttering is bad When people talk about speech victories in stuttering communities, they often celebrate random moments of fluency, during a phonecall for example. I understand this because it can feel very freeing to speak fluently. But what are you telling yourself indirectly when you are only kind to yourself in fluent moments? Don’t you also deserve kindness when you stutter? Putting too much meaning to random fluency and hoping you will be fluent next time, only will make you stutter more. How about praising yourself for saying what you want, with and despite stuttering? Your brain just does what you taught it. If you teach it self hate, it will give that back to you! So teach it some kindness 🙂 https://preview.redd.it/i0k264yvse871.jpg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f1f556838b24e8110763d62f1233758887d918a2
