In my personal experience as a stutterer, anxiety 100% makes my stutter worse. The fact that you get stressed and anxious only makes the stutter worse. From what you described it could definitely be a stutter, it’s just a very mild stutter. Often when I try to say certain words I can’t get them out without using a filler word or just a different word all together so that could be a sign that you have a slight stutter. My advice is to try to stop getting so anxious when you are speaking, as the more you stress the harder it will be to get words out. In your case if it isn’t very severe and you can still fully communicate on most occasions you just gotta try to forgot about it. The more you think about it the more likely you are to continue to stammer/stutter or even start to stutter more extreme. If it only happens occasionally and on certain words who really cares? I’m sure your friends don’t think different of you when you “hesitate” or get stuck, they just give you a hard time as most friends do. I have a pretty bad stutter but it’s more of a block stutter where I just get stuck like “mmm....my name is Cole” and although it’s definitely makes life harder sometimes I try not to let myself stress over it to much as I’ve dealt with it my whole life and I know it’s just part of me. Just keep your head up and don’t stress it to much, best of luck too you.
