Can someone tell me what I can do to make this better? Hey guys. I just wanted to say, after the shitty day that I've had today. Was in office at a new internship. The first 3 days, I was able to tell people my name after I had been introduced as the new intern. I just smiled and went Hey it's duckfilledplatypus. However yesterday and today, I got insanely anxious when two people came up to my desk and spoke to me, so much so that I just avoided saying my name even when they asked me, because I was scared I'll look like an idiot. And both times, my face contorted in a lot of weird ways like it does when I force words. I breathed and tried saying my name and it didn't work. Finally I forced it out and people around looked at me really strangely. That being said I immediately turned beet red and just looked back at my computer. Everyone at work is older than me and I won't make friends unless I talk, but every time I have to speak I really get so anxious and flustered even breathing becomes hard. Can someone give me solid advice to how to control my self and stuff? I've been stuttering since I was 5-6 and I'm 21 now.
